Based on the easy bending property of bamboo, local low-carbon building materials in Anji, our group tried to find a spatial form of a dome shape, to provide a small resting place for the residents nearby. The project is based on a hexagonal triangular grid plane, using kangaroo dynamics simulation software for mechanical shape-finding. Through inputting the support points of the whole members, the magnitude of the load force and the adaptive coefficient of the bars, a structural form close to the pressure only without bending is generated. Structures were examined using Karamba3D tool to ensure the overall mechanical rationality and building implementability.

In the bamboo dome, people could feel the rich two-way spatial changes brought by the horizontal division and the height difference, and the spatial continuity brought by the enclosure of the same hexagonal interface.
